Viewers love the stories. Producers and editors love the workflow.
Just like your reporters in the newsroom, we pitch a story in time for your morning meeting. You and your producers have access to a password-protected page on the “What the Tech?” website where they’ll find information about the story we’re working on.
While your reporters are out putting together a story so are we.
The package, suggested anchor intro and tag, supers and times, an on-camera tease and a rewritten story in magazine format are available for download and use on-air and on your website and other digital properties.
The package and elements can be downloaded from a password-protected Dropbox and ready to go by 5 PM ET.
Stations may choose to air stories one day behind. The tech stories have a shelf-life of a couple of days in most cases. When the story is time-sensitive (Apple announcements, breaking tech news, etc) the package and elements will be available earlier for use in that evening’s newscast.
Jamey is reachable by phone, email, text, and Slack should producers need to reach him during the day.
Workflow is optimized for producers, editors, and web manager
